Africa’s only conference dedicated to temperature sensitive life science distribution

Following the successful launch of our inaugural Cold Chain Logistics Africa event in March, 2011 we are pleased to announce the return of this conference to the African market, again to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa. IQPC hosts the leading Cold Chain conferences globally, including the annual Cold Chain Global Forum in the United States and the annual Cool Chain Europe conference, as well as over 15 other related Cold Chain conferences around the world.

The last couple of years have seen strong growth in the sales of temperature sensitive healthcare products - according to Pharmaceutical Commerce, seven of the top ten global pharmaceutical products will require cold chain handling by 2014. Consequently, the demand for cold chain logistics services continues to grow exceedingly rapidly, with IMARC projecting the market to grow from US$6.6 billion in 2011 to US$9.5 billion in 2016.

As the complexity of the vaccines and other temperature sensitive pharmaceutical supplies increases, it is very important to identify risks, challenges and their solutions across the end-to-end pharmaceutical supply chain. Cold Chain Logistics Africa 2012 will analyse strategies to maintain the integrity of pharmaceutical supplies from export preparation through handling to delivery and usage, whilst considering current and future regulation and legislation in the sub-Saharan African region.
